Meet Harley, the new PMSC AmeriCorps Regional Outreach Coordinator. Harley is joining us from Indiana, Pa. She graduated from Slippery Rock University in 2025, where she earned a dual degree in Strategic Communication & Media, as well as Philanthropy & Nonprofit management. While at Slippery Rock University she developed a background in content production, graphic design, web design, event planning, and more.
Harley did multiple internships with nonprofits in our region while in college, and through this experience she grew a deep appreciation for the outdoors, community engagement and strengthening, digital media development, advocacy, quality education, and more. In her free time she is an avid kayaker, photographer and videographer, reader, writer, and learner.
So, going forward, if you see her walking around with a camera at your site - feel free to say hello! The camera doesn't bite, promise!

That's how many books Sami Yutzy, PMSC member serving at Somerset School District's Eagle View Elementary, helped to collect for her MLK day service project.
These books took some serious muscle to get loaded into not one, but two SUVs! Sami will work to distribute books to local libraries and youth programs in Somerset County.

PMSC AmeriCorps Members Maddie Shaw and Senda Harvey lent a helping hand at this year’s distribution project. Their smiling faces reflect the magic that was created during this special time of giving.
Last year in our region, 955 families and 2,300 children were served with holiday cheer and more importantly- TOYS!!!! Families from Blair, Cambria, Indiana, and Jefferson counties were served and PMSC AmeriCorps Members couldn't have been more eager to show up and support the mission. Spreading good tidings, one toy at a time.
